Principal AI Security Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the technical direction for securing AI applications and workflows, the remote Principal AI Security Engineer will architect scalable security controls, develop AI security testing and automation, and implement secure engineering practices to enable safe innovation at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement security architecture for AI applications, including LLM and autonomous agents
• Develop automated security testing and evaluation capabilities for AI systems and establish secure engineering patterns
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security controls into AI development and production workflows

Required qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in security engineering, application security, or cloud security at a Staff or Principal level
• Hands-on experience with LLM/agent systems and familiarity with OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications
• Strong software engineering skills, particularly in Python or a modern programming language
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, APIs, and modern software delivery practices
• Ability to design and implement security controls and automation for complex systems
