Principal Application Engineer

Job Summary

To support customer success in chip development, the remote Principal Application Engineer will analyze verification environments, deliver technical demonstrations, and lead discussions on methodologies while fostering deep technical relationships with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze customer verification environments and recommend deployment strategies for Synopsys Verification Platform tools
• Deliver technical demonstrations and proof-of-concept projects to showcase the benefits of Generative AI in chip development
• Conduct benchmarking studies and present actionable recommendations to engineering teams and management

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with 7+ years of functional verification experience
• Deep knowledge of VLSI design flow and verification methodologies, including fluency in SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL, or SystemC
• Proven experience with front-end verification, including RTL and testbench coding, simulation debug, and coverage analysis
• Working knowledge of UVM methodology and its application in production environments
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments and scripting in shell, Perl, or Python
