Job Summary
To drive the modernization of enterprise platforms, the full-time remote Principal Architect will translate complex client requirements into scalable engineering solutions while providing technical leadership across architecture, implementation, and continuous delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design of scalable target-state architectures and guide the modernization of enterprise APIs and legacy applications on AWS
- Oversee technical execution and ensure knowledge continuity during transition phases while maintaining documentation and successful handoffs
- Establish architecture and engineering standards for Java/Spring Boot microservices, REST/SOAP APIs, and AWS-based solutions
Required qualifications
- 15+ years of architecture and hands-on engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices
- Proven experience architecting secure cloud solutions on AWS, including technologies like ECS/EKS and Lambda
- Experience designing event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka and messaging technologies
- Demonstrated leadership in enterprise platform modernization and CI/CD practices
- Hands-on experience with Python for data workflows or integration utilities
