Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote Principal Board Designer/Senior Principal Board Designer who will create high-quality printed circuit board (PCB) layouts, perform design rule checks, and collaborate on cross-functional design reviews to support defense-grade product development.
Key responsibilities
- Develop complete PCB layouts, ensuring compliance with signal integrity, power distribution, and EMC requirements
- Perform design rule checks and sign off on designs through automated simulations and analyses
- Collaborate on design reviews with electrical, mechanical, and reliability teams to incorporate feedback and finalize designs
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, master's degree with 3 years of experience, or Ph.D. with 1 year of experience in a relevant technical field
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on PCB layout experience in a high volume or high complexity environment
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Mentor Graphics, including advanced routing and stack up configuration
- Minimum of 3 years of working knowledge of IPC standards relevant to PCB design
- U.S. Citizenship is required
