Principal Cloud Engineer
Job Summary
Providing enterprise leadership for cloud platforms and infrastructure services, the full-time Principal Cloud Engineer will design and implement cloud architecture, manage operational excellence, and mentor engineering teams while working remotely or from various locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives while establishing operational standards and governance processes
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, acting as a first responder to incidents affecting critical systems and cloud platforms
- Advise stakeholders on cloud architecture, security, compliance, and operational risk while maintaining operational processes and documentation
Required Qualifications
- 7-9 years of relevant experience in infrastructure, cloud engineering, systems engineering, or platform administration
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure and AWS infrastructure and platform engineering
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and cloud security controls
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in PowerShell and CI/CD pipeline support
