Principal Cloud Network Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the architecture and automation of network foundations, the full-time Principal Cloud Network Engineer will focus on cloud networking, site reliability engineering, and infrastructure automation across AWS, GCP, and Azure, while providing senior technical coverage during U.S. business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Define cloud networking architecture and standards across multiple platforms
- Establish SLOs, monitoring, and operational standards for critical network services
- Lead diagnosis and mitigation of significant networking and infrastructure incidents
Required qualifications
- Deep experience designing and operating complex production cloud networks in at least one major cloud provider
- Strong knowledge of routing, subnetting, firewalls, and private connectivity
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, OpenTofu, or comparable infrastructure-as-code technologies
- Experience in building infrastructure automation using Python, Go, or similar programming languages
- Strong SRE experience including observability and incident response
