Principal Consultant, Red Team

Job Summary

Focused on the design and development of custom command-and-control tooling, the full-time Principal Consultant, Red Team will lead payload engineering efforts to enhance red team operations while collaborating with various cybersecurity teams in a remote or hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of command-and-control payloads and supporting tools for client engagements
• Implement detection-aware tradecraft and operational security measures to ensure safe and reliable operations
• Conduct ongoing research to improve red team tooling and produce clear, evidence-based reporting on attack paths and business impact

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in offensive cybersecurity, specifically in red team or adversary emulation engagements
• Demonstrated experience developing and modifying offensive security tooling and payloads
• Strong proficiency in Windows and Linux operating system internals
• Hands-on experience with command-and-control frameworks such as Mythic or Cobalt Strike
• Working knowledge of programming languages relevant to payload development, including C, Python, or PowerShell
