Principal Cyber Security Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely on a part-time basis, the Principal Cyber Security Analyst will lead threat detection, incident response, risk assessment, and security architecture review to protect healthcare systems handling sensitive data.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead investigation and response for complex security incidents and develop detection use cases in SIEM and EDR platforms
• Perform security risk assessments aligned with HIPAA and support internal and external audits
• Review security architecture for claims processing and advise on cloud security and data protection measures

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of progressive information security experience, including 3+ years in healthcare or claims processing
• Hands-on experience with SIEM and EDR tools, as well as vulnerability management
• Deep knowledge of HIPAA/HITECH regulations and incident response in a regulated environment
• Working knowledge of cloud security, identity and access management, and healthcare data standards
