Principal Cybersecurity Risk Architect

Job Summary

Serving as a senior technical risk authority, the full-time remote Principal Cybersecurity Risk Architect will lead risk analysis for AI, cloud, and engineering decisions, translating complex technical conditions into clear risk positions and actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead first-line risk analysis and credible challenges for architecture, AI/GenAI, and cloud decisions
• Assess architecture and engineering risks early in the lifecycle, including security design and data flows
• Evaluate control design and effectiveness using evidence, identifying gaps and ensuring accountability

Required qualifications

• 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, cloud security, or AI/ML security
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Expertise in enterprise security architecture and modern engineering environments, including cloud and APIs
• Experience conducting threat modeling and architecture risk assessments in complex technology environments
• Strong executive writing and presentation skills for communicating technical risks to senior leaders
