Principal Data Analyst
Job Summary
Leading the analysis of hospital quality performance, the full-time Principal Data Analyst will work remotely to manage data sourcing, design dashboards, and present findings to healthcare executives while mentoring junior analysts.
Key responsibilities
- Own data sourcing, cleaning, quality assurance, and set validation standards for all analytic outputs
- Design, build, and maintain reporting and benchmarking tools, establishing visualization standards for customer-facing work
- Present findings and recommendations to customer and internal leadership, supporting pre-sales, sales, and ongoing engagement
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent work experience with relevant analytic projects
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare data analytics focused on hospital quality measurement or performance improvement
- Hands-on experience with national quality rankings or ratings programs, such as CMS Star Ratings or U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals
- Demonstrated experience leading analytic projects from scoping through delivery
- Advanced SQL and proficiency in Python or R for data analysis
