Principal Data Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance data architecture and pipeline performance, the full-time Principal Data Engineer will design scalable data solutions, mentor team members, and manage the software development life cycle, with the flexibility of 100% remote work from any US location.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and lead the implementation of data architecture and ETL processes, ensuring performance and reliability
- Create high-level design documents and manage all phases of the software development life cycle
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in code and design reviews to uphold enterprise standards
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field
- 7 years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer or in a related position
- Proficiency in building data pipelines and data warehousing solutions using tools like IBM Datastage and Talend
- Experience with AWS cloud services and implementing data pipelines from various sources
- Familiarity with programming languages including Python, Java, and Unix
