Principal Data Engineer
Job Summary
Driving the technical architecture strategy for global ETL/ELT pipelines, the full-time Principal Data Engineer will manage cloud data infrastructure and pipeline architecture while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Formulate and execute the technical architecture strategy for global ETL/ELT pipelines and infrastructure-as-code deployments to support enterprise-wide AI/ML initiatives
- Serve as the principal technical authority for the data engineering work group, establishing development standards and ensuring high pipeline availability
- Independently assess architectural challenges and make definitive decisions on data warehousing design and scalability across various operational domains
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering or cloud data architecture with a proven track record of technical leadership
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for pipeline automation and data scripting
- Extensive experience designing and provisioning production-grade cloud environments using Terraform
- Proven experience architecting real-time streaming topologies and high-volume event data ingestions
