Principal Data Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time salaried Principal Data Engineer will support RxMax by collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable data solutions while ensuring data quality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key responsibilities:
- Quickly learn and apply complex healthcare business concepts to deliver tailored data solutions
- Collaborate with software engineers and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs
- Establish and enforce standards for data quality, governance, security, and compliance across data integration workflows
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in production data environments with a focus on data accuracy and governance
- 5+ years of advanced proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java
- 5+ years of experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark)
- Experience in the healthcare industry and familiarity with healthcare data models and standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR)
- Demonstrated experience working with business teams from an operational standpoint
