Principal Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support innovative healthcare solutions, the fully remote Principal Data Engineer will own product engineering and architectural decisions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and lead the delivery of scalable data and AI solutions over a two-year duration.
Key responsibilities
- Define and own the engineering strategy, technology architecture, and roadmap in partnership with product stakeholders
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale data products and AI solutions using modern cloud-native architectures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise data engineering, technical architecture, and AI platforms
- Proven experience with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and modern cloud-native technologies
- Expertise in Data Mesh, Data Governance, and Generative AI technologies
- Strong understanding of structured and unstructured data architectures supporting enterprise AI applications
