Job Summary
To shape the architectural foundation of Data and Analytics capabilities, the full-time Principal Data Engineer will define large-scale data architecture, oversee observability frameworks, and partner with teams to establish data governance standards while working in a collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Define large-scale data architecture decisions for batch/streaming platforms and evaluate tradeoffs for quality and scalability
- Architect observability and incident-response frameworks to monitor data pipeline health and serve as a technical escalation point
- Partner with teams to define data quality standards and establish SLAs/SLOs for critical data assets
Required qualifications
- 15+ years in software/data engineering or architecture with significant impact
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Expert knowledge of data architecture principles and best practices
- Hands-on experience with coding, testing, and validating architecture at scale
- Proven experience architecting large-scale data warehouses or lakehouses
