Job Summary
To shape the architectural foundation of Data and Analytics capabilities, the full-time Principal Data Engineer will define large-scale data architecture, partner with teams to establish data governance standards, and mentor engineering teams while promoting an AI-First approach in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Define large-scale data architecture decisions for batch/streaming platforms, warehouses, and lakehouses
- Architect observability and incident-response frameworks to monitor data pipeline health across the organization
- Partner with teams to establish data quality standards, access control, and governance while defining SLAs/SLOs for critical data assets
Required qualifications
- 15+ years in software/data engineering or architecture with significant impact
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Expert knowledge of data architecture principles and best practices
- Hands-on experience in coding, testing, and validating architecture at scale
- Proven experience architecting large-scale data warehouses or lakehouses
