Principal Data Platform Engineer
Job Summary
As the Principal Data Platform Engineer, this full-time remote position will manage and oversee the Snowflake platform, ensuring its security, reliability, and integration while supporting the organization's transition to a product delivery model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer the Snowflake platform, including accounts, warehouses, and configurations
- Design, build, and support integrations between Snowflake and various systems, ensuring data security and compliance
- Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and automate administrative tasks to optimize performance
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in data engineering, database administration, or data platform roles
- 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Snowflake in a production enterprise environment
- Strong experience with data integrations, cloud engineering (primarily AWS), and SQL scripting
- Experience implementing security controls for sensitive or regulated data
