Principal Data Scientist

Job Summary

Owning the data science function for freight pricing and revenue optimization, the full-time Principal Data Scientist will build and iterate on machine learning models, design pricing experiments, and partner with engineering to deploy solutions in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and validate ML models for dynamic pricing, demand forecasting, and load acceptance optimization
• Design and run pricing experiments to validate model performance and inform product decisions
• Establish data science best practices and model governance standards for the venture

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data science and machine learning, focusing on pricing and revenue optimization
• Demonstrated experience building and deploying ML models in production environments
• Strong background in ML and quantitative modeling, preferably in operations research or systems engineering
• Familiarity with freight, logistics, or transportation data is a strong plus
• Proficiency with standard data science tools including Python and SQL
