Principal Data Scientist

Job Summary

Seeking a highly entrepreneurial Principal Data Scientist in a full-time remote capacity, this role will discover high-value payment opportunities by combining deep payments knowledge with exploratory data science and machine learning to build intelligent payment products that drive revenue growth and business value.

Key responsibilities

• Discover high-value payment opportunities using data science and machine learning techniques
• Build intelligent payment data products that provide predictions, recommendations, and optimization beyond traditional dashboards
• Prototype solutions and partner with Product and Engineering to productionize models and decisioning capabilities

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data science or a related quantitative discipline with hands-on machine learning and predictive modeling
• Deep subject-matter expertise in payments, including knowledge of authorization, interchange, and payment routing
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience in handling large-scale transactional datasets
• Ability to independently identify opportunities and develop business cases based on data insights
• Established technical leadership and experience mentoring others in a collaborative environment
