Principal Design Systems Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of an AI-enabled design system, the contract Principal Design Systems Engineer will define technical architecture, provide governance frameworks, and drive execution while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Define the technical architecture for a unified design system that integrates customer and associate-facing software experiences
- Provide recommendations for design system governance and manage its adoption across various application teams
- Design and build components of the AI-enabled design system, ensuring it meets user needs and operates within enterprise constraints
Required qualifications
- Experience shipping Claude/LLM tooling to production
- Strong background in SQL and data engineering
- Proficiency in full-stack coding with Python and/or TypeScript/React
- Working knowledge of UX/UI design tools such as Figma
- Ability to navigate enterprise constraints related to security and deployment
