Principal DevOps Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the reliability, security, and evolution of production and staging infrastructure, the full-time remote Principal DevOps Engineer will manage AWS accounts, Kubernetes clusters, CI pipelines, and internal DevOps tooling while mentoring a Site Reliability Engineer.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the management and maintenance of EKS clusters and Terraform infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and eliminating drift
- Lead incident response efforts, managing the observability stack and disaster recovery posture
- Provision infrastructure for new services and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support development teams
Required qualifications
- 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering, with 2+ years as lead owner of a production Kubernetes platform
- Expertise in AWS EKS, Terraform, and GitOps with Argo CD and GitLab CI
- Strong experience with observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Proficiency in Go and Linux/Bash, with familiarity in PHP, Python, and TypeScript
- Knowledge of identity management and security best practices, including HashiCorp Vault
