Job Summary
Leading the architecture and development of embedded software systems for autonomous mobile robots, the full-time remote Principal Embedded Software Engineer will design real-time software for robot motion, navigation, and safety systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable operation in industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the embedded software architecture for robotic platforms while leading technical design reviews
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for robot motion control, sensor fusion, and communications
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate hardware components and support fleet-scale deployment of robotic systems
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
- 8+ years of embedded software development experience
- 3+ years of technical leadership or lead engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in C and C++, with experience in embedded Linux systems
- Experience developing software for mobile robotic systems and understanding real-time systems
