Job Summary
To drive technical leadership across multiple teams, the full-time remote Principal Engineer will own the architecture and technical direction of core components of the platform, focusing on large-scale refactoring and AI-driven infrastructure development.
Key responsibilities
- Define architectural standards and ensure coherent evolution of systems within the division
- Lead large-scale refactoring efforts to establish clear domain ownership and team independence
- Make decisive technical decisions, transforming ambiguous problems into actionable plans and delivered software
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in software delivery, with significant time at the Staff level or above
- Proven experience in setting architecture across multiple teams, particularly in Ruby on Rails or similar stacks
- Experience leading large-scale refactoring of shared domain models with clear insights on outcomes
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and their impact on engineering practices
- Strong written communication skills, particularly in driving alignment through documentation
