Job Summary
To drive the technical direction of an AI-first product, the full-time remote Principal Engineer, AI Systems will set the architecture and strategy for agent orchestration, event-driven pipelines, and real-time APIs while collaborating closely with founders and product leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Define the technical vision and multi-year architecture roadmap for the AI platform
- Own end-to-end architecture across services, ensuring scalability and reliability
- Establish standards for AI agent development, including orchestration patterns and evaluation frameworks
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in building and operating production-grade backend systems, with 3+ years in a leadership role
- Expert-level proficiency in Python and deep production experience with AWS services like Lambda and DynamoDB
- Proven track record of shipping and managing LLM-powered systems in production
- Demonstrated ownership of system architecture during significant growth phases
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
