Principal Engineer, Applications Engineering

Job Summary

To support complex ASIC and SoC designs, the remote Principal Engineer, Applications Engineering will deploy and evaluate Synopsys ZeBu emulation solutions at customer sites, debug technical issues, and provide pre-sales and post-sales support while managing multiple customer engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and evaluate Synopsys ZeBu emulation solutions, collaborating with ASIC and SoC design teams
• Debug complex technical issues across various emulation hardware platforms, tracing problems through design and compile flows
• Provide pre-sales evaluations and post-sales support to ensure customer projects progress smoothly

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in emulation or prototyping for ASIC or SoC verification projects
• Direct experience with hardware emulation platforms such as Palladium, ZeBu, or Veloce
• Strong debugging skills with the ability to trace issues across design and hardware platforms
• Experience with virtual prototyping solutions and physical FPGA-based platforms
• Proficiency in HDLs such as Verilog and VHDL, and HVLs like SystemVerilog
