Principal Engineer - AV Simulation

Job Summary

Experienced software engineers will find a full-time opportunity as a Principal Engineer - AV Simulation, responsible for architecting and building core platform systems to enhance Physical AI development, including Autonomous Driving and Robotics, in a remote or onsite environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and build simulation and evaluation infrastructure to accelerate Level 4 self-driving capabilities
• Collaborate with AI and Robotics teams to understand their simulation and evaluation needs while optimizing performance across systems
• Develop reliable services, APIs, and data pipelines that operate at scale, supporting hundreds of millions of runs per day

Required qualifications:

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 15+ years of professional experience in software engineering focused on distributed systems and data-intensive applications
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java, with experience across the full backend stack
• Deep experience in building high-performance low-latency data systems and understanding of distributed systems
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners
