Job Summary
Defining the architecture and engineering strategy for digital banking platforms, the full-time remote Principal Engineer, Digital Banking will lead solution design and modernization efforts while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance platform performance and security.
Key responsibilities
- Define the technical vision and engineering roadmap for online banking platforms, leading architecture reviews and complex initiative decision-making
- Analyze legacy systems and platform architecture to identify risks and modernization opportunities across various technology stacks
- Provide technical leadership through mentorship, code reviews, and critical feature development across geographically distributed teams
Required qualifications
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including large-scale enterprise platform architecture and delivery
- 10+ years of experience in designing and developing distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
- 8+ years of experience leading technical strategy and software delivery across multiple engineering teams
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
