Job Summary
Defining the architecture and engineering strategy for digital banking platforms, the full-time remote Principal Engineer, Digital Banking will lead solution design, analyze legacy systems, and modernize scalable platforms to enhance online and mobile banking experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Define the technical vision, architecture, and engineering roadmap for online banking platforms while leading solution design and architecture reviews
- Analyze legacy systems and production environments to identify technical risks and modernization opportunities across various technology stacks
- Provide technical leadership through mentorship, code reviews, and critical feature development across geographically distributed teams
Required qualifications
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including architecture and delivery of large-scale enterprise platforms
- 10+ years of experience designing and developing distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native architectures
- 8+ years of experience leading technical strategy and software delivery across multiple engineering teams
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
