Job Summary
Seeking a Principal Engineer, Enterprise Scalability, this full-time remote position will lead efforts in defining scale readiness, removing bottlenecks, and driving architectural changes to enhance performance and reliability for enterprise customers.
Key responsibilities
- Establish measurable targets for latency, throughput, and capacity while creating a shared scorecard for enterprise workloads
- Identify and resolve major bottlenecks using production data and profiling techniques, partnering with service owners for implementation
- Design and implement architectural strategies such as sharding, caching, and workload isolation to advance multi-region readiness
Required qualifications
- 12+ years of engineering experience with a focus on scaling multi-tenant SaaS applications
- Hands-on expertise in performance engineering, capacity planning, and distributed systems
- Proven ability to investigate systems and roll out changes safely with a strong technical judgment
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and aligning them around shared outcomes
- Practical experience with AI tools and automation in engineering processes
