Principal Enterprise Architect
Job Summary
Building the enterprise architecture practice from the ground up, the full-time Principal Enterprise Architect will govern a diverse technology portfolio, establish architecture principles, and leverage AI tools to optimize processes in a remote-first environment.
Key responsibilities
- Define the operating model and architecture principles while establishing a lightweight review process for decision-making
- Manage the application portfolio by classifying apps, driving consolidation, and addressing overlaps proactively
- Implement SaaS governance and cost control measures, partnering with Finance and Procurement to maximize savings
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture with a proven track record in application portfolio management
- Experience in application rationalization and SaaS cost reduction, demonstrating measurable savings
- Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and lifecycle governance, including TOGAF practices
- Strong judgment in build-vs-buy decisions, with experience collaborating with Procurement and Finance
- Familiarity with AI governance concepts and hands-on experience using AI tools for portfolio analysis is preferred
