Principal Experience Architect

Job Summary

To support a growing design team, the full-time Principal Experience Architect will manage the end-to-end product interaction model and information architecture across Khan Academy's products, ensuring a cohesive user experience for students, teachers, parents, and district admins in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the product interaction model and related information architecture across multiple platforms
• Map and design user journeys that span various products and roles, identifying areas for improvement
• Act as a strategic advisor on the Design Leadership Team, guiding major product decisions for long-term coherence

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in product design, UX architecture, or UX strategy
• Strong expertise in information architecture and multi-platform interaction modeling
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams toward coherent design decisions
• Experience designing for complex environments with multiple user types and permissions
• Familiarity with K-12 education or regulated environments is a strong plus
