Principal Finance & Analytics
Job Summary
Owning the understanding and forecasting of Airbnb's total cloud and AI spend, the remote eligible Principal Finance & Analytics will manage cost narratives, lead planning cycles, and identify efficiency opportunities to optimize spending without compromising product or employee experience.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain monthly/weekly cloud and AI cost forecasts, explaining variance drivers to leadership
- Partner with engineering teams to validate and prioritize efficiency initiatives while tracking AI spend by category
- Prepare and present cost updates to senior audiences, translating technical data into financial narratives
Required qualifications
- 10 years of finance, FP&A, or cost management experience, with exposure to cloud infrastructure costs
- Prior experience with AI/ML infrastructure costs strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain complex financial models in fast-changing environments
- Strong track record of partnering with engineering teams to translate usage data
