Seeking a full-time Principal Firmware Engineer, the candidate will develop, test, and maintain firmware and software for digital imaging and camera products on an embedded Linux platform, participating in the full software development lifecycle while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Perform complex research, design, and development of firmware for video security products
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define and implement effective firmware design strategies
- Modify existing firmware to meet unique customer requirements and improve development processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; MS preferred
- Proficient in C++ and high-level, object-oriented design methodologies
- Extensive experience with Linux kernel and application development
- Solid understanding of embedded Linux software stacks and networking/IOT
- 5+ years of experience in C++ or C
