Principal Full Stack Engineer
Job Summary
Leading technical delivery for a federal platform, the full-time Principal Full Stack Engineer will maintain existing Java, Spring, and Oracle applications while designing and building a replacement platform on cloud and DevOps foundations, all in a fully remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead, setting engineering standards and guiding technical decisions across existing and new systems
- Design, prototype, build, and deploy applications on cloud and container foundations while maintaining existing systems
- Lead defect resolution and enhancements driven by new laws and agency needs, ensuring high availability and performance
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- At least 10 years of professional software engineering experience with technical leadership
- Deep hands-on experience with Java and the Spring Framework, including production web applications
- Strong experience with relational databases, particularly Oracle, including data modeling and performance tuning
- Experience designing and deploying cloud-native, containerized applications on major cloud platforms
