Principal Hardware Design Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the Electronics team, the full-time Principal Hardware Design Engineer will own hardware designs for quantum computers, collaborating with cross-functional teams to create schematics and oversee PCB layout of complex circuitry.
Key responsibilities
- Design and oversee PCB layout of analog and digital circuitry, including high-speed transceivers and power distribution systems
- Ensure robust signal integrity and EMI suppression in all designs
- Develop test setups for electro-optic modules and analyze data to extract key performance parameters
Required qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent
- 10 years of relevant experience in product development and volume manufacturing
- Proven track record of leading successful commercial product releases
