Principal Harness Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the development of harness subsystems, the full-time Principal Harness Engineer will design, build, and support core components to ensure AI coding agents produce high-quality outputs while working remotely from Bulgaria.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy core components of the harness, including guides and feedback loops, to enhance AI-generated outputs
• Establish quality gating and release criteria for agent-produced work, defining authority boundaries and escalation rules
• Collaborate with product and platform teams to translate specifications into enforceable engineering controls

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience in software architecture and development
• Extensive experience in large codebases with a strong foundation in architecture, design, and testing
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and familiarity with their strengths and weaknesses
• Proven ability to build engineering tooling, including CI/CD pipelines and static analysis tools
• Experience with quality-gating processes and defining release criteria to maintain engineering standards
