Principal IT Architect
Job Summary
Supporting enterprise infrastructure engagements for managed services clients, the full-time Principal IT Architect will manage pre-sales technical scoping, solution design, and project delivery while ensuring adherence to industry best practices in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support pre- and post-sales technical scoping and contribute to Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates for infrastructure and software platform/user migration engagements
- Design and deliver technical solutions across various platforms, including virtualization, server, storage, database, and network technologies
- Own assigned projects from design through delivery, ensuring effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Deep knowledge of enterprise virtualization (VMware/vSphere), server hardware, and SAN technologies
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux and Windows Server administration
- Working familiarity with networking fundamentals, including firewalls, load balancers, and routing concepts
- Basic understanding of enterprise database platforms such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on scoped technical projects
