Principal IT Security Project Manager

Job Summary

Leading complex cybersecurity initiatives, the full-time Principal IT Security Project Manager will manage strategic security programs from planning to completion while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards in a fast-paced remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct large-scale cross-functional security projects, including software hardening and cloud security implementations
• Identify project risks, track vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation plans to safeguard business assets
• Communicate project progress, budgets, and security metrics to executive leadership and technical teams

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of IT project management experience, with at least 5 years in cybersecurity or information security
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business, or a related field
• PMP certification and a security credential such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC
• Deep understanding of network security, endpoint protection, and security frameworks
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
