Job Summary
To shape the instructional vision for adolescent literacy, the remote Principal Learning Experience Designer will develop evidence-based reading intervention solutions for Read 180, focusing on creating cohesive teacher-led and student-facing experiences while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with content and product leadership to develop and refine evidence-based adolescent literacy instruction
- Design and evaluate instructional materials to ensure clarity, engagement, and effectiveness for diverse learners
- Lead instructional reviews and mentor Learning Experience Designers in applying literacy research and instructional design principles
Required qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in developing adolescent literacy curriculum or related instructional products
- Deep knowledge of adolescent literacy development and the needs of students reading below grade level
- Strong understanding of current science-of-reading research and its application to older readers
- Exceptional instructional writing and editing skills
- Bachelor's degree in literacy, reading education, curriculum and instruction, or a related field
