Principal Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Bridging hands-on MLOps execution with research-level thinking, the full-time Principal Machine Learning Engineer will build and maintain ML systems, implement cutting-edge ML architectures, and shape the long-term vision for search and discovery, all while working remotely or in Playa Vista, CA.

Key responsibilities:

• Build new ML systems and improve existing ML pipelines while addressing data gaps
• Implement and benchmark ML papers on model architectures through training experiments
• Manage infrastructure to support ML workloads and drive architectural decisions with the engineering team

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in machine learning engineering with a focus on MLOps and research
• Hands-on experience with ML papers and running comparative training experiments
• Experience building and operating ML infrastructure, such as a Redis cluster
• Familiarity with search and discovery systems influenced by large language models
• Proven ability to present technical results and business impact to diverse audiences
