Principal Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Principal Machine Learning Engineer to build and maintain AI and machine learning systems remotely, focusing on complex problem-solving, data architecture, MLOps, and mentoring engineering teams while promoting technical excellence across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AI models tailored to business use cases, ensuring robust data architectures and high-quality data pipelines
• Implement MLOps and LLMOps capabilities, including CI/CD pipelines and model monitoring frameworks
• Establish AI governance frameworks, promoting fairness, explainability, and accountability in AI development

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software or machine learning systems, with 6+ years in production ML environments
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, along with expertise in Databricks and the Azure data ecosystem
• Experience in building agentic systems that have reached production use
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and elevate technical standards within teams
• Familiarity with modern machine learning frameworks and scalable engineering patterns
