As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer, this full-time remote position will tackle complex technical challenges to enhance Rovo Chat, focusing on setting the technical vision, architecting scalable ML systems, and driving measurable improvements for millions of users.
Key responsibilities
- Set the technical vision for measuring and improving Rovo Chat through rigorous evaluation strategies
- Architect and build production ML and evaluation systems, including datasets and automated judges
- Lead cross-organizational initiatives to identify systemic failure modes and implement impactful interventions
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in architecting and shipping large-scale ML or AI systems with measurable impact
- Deep expertise in LLM-powered products, agentic systems, and model evaluation
- Strong production engineering skills with hands-on experience in a modern ML stack
- Principal-level technical leadership experience, influencing teams and leading complex initiatives
- Excellent judgment in balancing quality, speed, reliability, safety, latency, and cost
