Principal Network Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the architecture and engineering of enterprise connectivity services, the remote Principal Network Engineer will focus on B2B connectivity, WAN architecture, and secure partner integrations while providing technical leadership and governance for large-scale initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and govern enterprise B2B connectivity solutions and secure partner integrations
- Design and optimize IPsec VPN, WAN, MPLS, Internet, and cloud connectivity solutions
- Lead architecture and design reviews, serving as the senior escalation point for complex network issues
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of enterprise network engineering experience within large-scale Cisco environments
- Expert-level knowledge of routing, switching, and security technologies, including IPsec/IKEv2 VPN
- CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent expert-level experience
- Strong knowledge of Cisco ISR, ASR, Catalyst, and Nexus, as well as experience with Arista switching and Palo Alto firewalls
- Experience with Python-based network automation and large-scale network transformation initiatives
