Principal Platform Engineer
Job Summary
As a key contributor in a remote capacity, the full-time salaried Principal Platform Engineer will set the technical direction for platform engineering, lead transformation programs, and partner with executive leadership on infrastructure and platform decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Implement the multi-year technical vision for Platform Engineering and translate it into executable strategy with measurable milestones
- Own engineering standards, architecture principles, and governance frameworks for the organization
- Lead company-wide platform transformation programs, including cloud-native migration and developer experience enhancements
Required qualifications
- 12+ years of engineering experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or cloud architecture at scale
- Deep multi-cloud mastery in AWS and Azure, with experience designing large-scale, compliance-grade architectures
- Proven track record of driving organization-wide technical initiatives
- Experience advising at the VP or CTO level on platform strategy
- History of building or significantly elevating a platform engineering function
