Job Summary

Leading visual craft and interaction excellence, the full-time Principal Product Designer will create high-fidelity prototypes and drive design standards across Yahoo's consumer surfaces, leveraging generative AI tools in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design vision and interactive prototyping architecture across a diverse portfolio of consumer surfaces
• Craft bespoke interaction patterns for high-profile cultural and editorial moments, establishing visual standards that enhance the Yahoo brand

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing high-scale digital products across web and mobile platforms
• Proven experience utilizing generative AI tools to construct and optimize high-fidelity interactive prototypes
• Exceptional expertise in typography, layout, visual systems, and brand application for consumer surfaces
• Demonstrated ability to operate in an AI-augmented workflow while maintaining quality and velocity across multiple projects
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with a record of aligning with executive-level stakeholders
