Principal Product Designer

Job Summary

Seeking a Principal Product Designer for a remote, full-time position focused on leading product design for complex financial initiatives, transforming ambiguous requirements into intuitive user experiences across Figure Markets and the broader lending ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product design initiatives, creating coherent end-to-end experiences from ambiguous requirements
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to shape requirements and ensure high-quality implementation
• Mentor other designers and establish design patterns to enhance product quality across the organization

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio of shipped products
• Proven ability to solve complex design problems in ambiguous environments
• Strong interaction and visual design skills, particularly for data-heavy and multi-step experiences
• Experience working closely with technical teams and understanding system constraints
• Excellent communication skills for articulating design rationale to diverse audiences
