Job Summary

Defining and leading ambitious research initiatives, the full-time Principal Research Scientist in Frontier Industrial AI will develop new models and algorithms, build experimental prototypes, and publish influential work while working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high-impact research questions and initiatives in frontier industrial AI
• Develop models, algorithms, and evaluation methods while building validated research prototypes
• Collaborate with AI labs and contribute to AVEVA's patent and intellectual property portfolio

Required qualifications

• PhD or equivalent research experience in machine learning, AI, computer science, or related fields
• Evidence of original research through publications, patents, or significant technical contributions
• Strong hands-on ability in AI experimentation and software development
• Deep expertise in areas such as foundation models, reinforcement learning, or simulation
• Ability to independently identify research problems and execute projects with limited structure
