Principal Researcher in Healthcare

Job Summary

To advance healthcare quality and access, the full-time Principal Researcher in Healthcare Transformation will lead complex research studies, serve as a principal investigator on high-profile projects, and shape research strategy while working remotely or from designated U.S. office locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of multi-method research studies across AIR's client services portfolio
• Serve as principal investigator or senior advisor, ensuring methodological rigor and relevance
• Mentor and develop senior researchers and project staff, fostering a culture of excellence

Required qualifications

• Ph.D. in public health, public policy, or a related field with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 11 years of experience
• Extensive experience leading research projects in contract research or academic settings
• Deep understanding of implementation science and systems-level change
• Proven track record of securing funding for large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects
• Experience with both qualitative and quantitative methodologies and associated software (e.g., STATA, R, NVivo, Excel)
