Principal Revenue Accountant
Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented Principal Revenue Accountant, this full-time remote position will manage revenue accounting activities, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and collaborate across various business functions to enhance financial reporting and controls.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and execute revenue accounting activities, including revenue recognition and contract review
- Analyze customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly revenue accounting close activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant experience in revenue accounting
- Strong understanding and practical application of ASC 606 / revenue recognition principles
- Experience with month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with large data sets
