Principal Security Analyst

Job Summary

To support a dynamic cybersecurity team, the full-time Principal Security Analyst will manage the triage of MDR alerts, analyze security events, and implement response actions while working onsite in Washington, D.C., Austin, or Dallas.

Key responsibilities

• Initial triage of MDR alerts and participation in 24x7 monitoring of customer networks
• Analyze events and recommend response actions for active attacks while creating and reviewing playbooks for efficiency
• Handle client communications related to high and critical investigations, ensuring operational integrity through meticulous review processes

Required qualifications

• At least 12 months of SOC experience or equivalent
• CySA+ certification or equivalent
• Proficiency with EDR, SIEM, and security platforms, including Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, and CrowdStrike Falcon
• Understanding of AI applications within the cybersecurity environment
• Ability to verify console actions and ensure accurate execution of security measures
